Built at a cost of $60,000, the Church of the Good Shepherd was started by several local Anglican churches on a 1/2 hectare site at Dundee Road. The church building was officially opened on 31 January 1960 by the Bishop of Singapore, The Right Revd Henry Wolfe Baines. Today, the Church continues to play an important role in Queenstown, contributing to students’ bursaries and providing informative tea-talks as well as organizing community exercise sessions.
