Lantern Making With Bishan Home For The Intellectually Disabled

E&E visited Bishan Home For The Intellectually Disabled to spend time with the residents. They started off with a session of lantern-making. The colorful and lovely lanterns were specially ordered from overseas and the cartoon figures such as Pichakus, Peppa Pigs and Doraemons thrilled the residents. After the lantern making session, the residents took a walk with the lanterns they made together with our volunteers. The walk was followed by a session of colouring, which was a favourite activity of most residents.

E&E volunteers also donated items such as Vitamin C supplements, prune juice and oats, which were items much needed by the residents. Before leaving, the volunteers also assisted to decorate the Home’s hall with colourful paper lanterns to create an atmospheric Mid-Autumn Festival for all residents and staff at Bishan Home!
