Chairman and Managing Director of Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd, Ronald Goh, was conferred the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award 2017 (APEA) at a gala dinner last night. Launched in 2007, the APEA is organised by Enterprise Asia, a non-governmental organisation and entrepreneurship think-tank with presence in 12 countries across the Asia Pacific region.

Recognised for his business foresight and exemplary leadership, Mr. Goh’s ability to overcome adversities, flair in creating a culture of continous innovation, and efforts in corporate social responsibility work have been instrumental in propelling E&E forward.

“I am deeply humbled. Winning this award twice within a 5-year period is an affirmation of E&E’s unending commitment to continous growth and business excellence. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to our clients, partners and my team for their continued trust and support,” remarked Mr. Goh.

E&E was founded in 1951 by Mr. Goh’s late father, Mr. Goh Kiok Chuan. Mr. Goh studied at Queenstown Technical School where he learnt his metalworking and technical skills and later spent another 3 years at the Singapore Polytechnic before he joined E&E full time to work alongside his father.

Today, E&E has increased its turnover more than tenfold and for leading and grooming E&E into an industry leader, Mr. Goh has received many accolades both in local and international scenes. He was also named as one of the 50 CEOs that contributed to the Singapore Economic Miracle by Business Times.

Mr. Goh’s words of encouragement are simple – he believes that one must be passionate in what they do, practice forward thinking at all the times and to be a leader, mover and shaker; and be the shepherd not the sheep.
